Waggaroos members produced some outstanding performances at the NSW Schools Championships and associated State League events in the Illawarra last weekend.

In the Schools long distance event on Saturday at Cataract Scout Park, Cameron (M14A) and Johannah (W15B) McDougall both had great wins. Angus Roche (M13-14B) and Lachlan Billett (M16A) placed 2nd whilst Jack Janetzki (M15A) came 3rd. In the State League at the same venue, Briohny Seaman (W21A), Debbie Davey (W60A) and Alex Davey (M60A) all placed first!

Sunday's venue was the University of Wollongong for 2 Sprint distance races, one in the morning and the other after lunch. Times were combined after both races and Waggaroos again performed very well. In the Schools division, Cameron McDougall backed up his win on Saturday with another victory, whilst Angus Roche improved on his 2nd placing with a win! Lachlan Billett repeated his 2nd from the day before whilst Jack Janetzki improved from 3rd to 2nd. Johannah McDougall stepped up to W15A on Sunday and placed a creditable 3rd. Debbie and Alex Davey were both able to continue their winning ways from Saturday in the State League Sprints with Briohny Seaman placing a close 2nd.
