Waggaroos at Easter in Tassie

Several current and former Waggaroos took part in the just completed Australian 3 Days in Tasmania.

Of the current club members, Lucy McGarva (now living in Melbourne but still a proud Waggaroo!) had a great weekend finishing a VERY close 2nd (just 15 seconds over 3 days!) in W21A, after winning Day 1. Part time Tasmanians, Pauline and Bob Moore also competed, with Pauline finishing a creditable 8th in a strong W70A class, 26 minutes behind the winner.  Bob had a different story to tell, suffering a very nasty fall (face plant as described by Pauline!) near the last control on Day 2. He suffered bad facial cuts and bruises and was, for a time, in a neck brace and underwent scans.  Needless to say, he didn't go out on Day 3 but is now recovering well.

Former Waggaroo junior, Andrew Macken, made a return to competitive Orienteering and had great success, winning all 3 Days in the strong M35A class.
