Briohny Seaman and Alex Davey had a great tussle at the Waggaroos Summer Series of orienteering event last Thursday evening.

Conducted at CSU Boorooma St campus participants had 30 minutes to find the answers to a series of questions about the University. Each correct answer scored points and points were deducted for exceeding the time limit.

Questions included the phone number on an aquabubbler, identifying particular room numbers, identifying keywords on specific signs. Forty three questions were on offer with a total score of 335 possible.

The need for careful navigation to the exact locations was important because some answers were a little more difficult to find than expected. This challenged some participants and generally more points were lost because of the challenges of locating the answer than from exceeding the time limit.

Not so Briohny Seaman. In her 30 minutes she managed to find 33 correct answers to score an excellent 265 points. Alex Davey was very close behind locating 32 correct answers for a score of 260 points. Alex also won the handicap honours for the event.

These two were well ahead of the field. Third place went to an improving Kade Mavroudis with a very good score of 165. However, he was closely followed by Wes Campbell (150), Debbie Davey (145) and Rob and Ian McDougall (140).
