A very wet forest and steady rain throughout did not dampen enthusiasm at Wallace's Gully. It was lovely spur-gully terrain that was remarkably open and beautiful to run through. The wet conditions did mean that not much wildlife was seen – even the orb-weaving spiders were sheltering and out of sight. It was wonderful to catch up with our Albury colleagues after so long – even if they did thump us 47:23. Waggaroos who attended acquitted themselves well: Jack Janetzki starred on the Short Red course winning by almost 15 minutes.
